Rehearsal terms & conditions
By booking a rehearsal or recording session at Farm Factory Studios (Farm Factory Limited) you are entering into a contract by which you are agreeing unconditionally on behalf of the band/artist to abide by the studio's terms and conditions as detailed below.
Booking a rehearsal: Rehearsal and recording bookings, times and dates are subject to availability and approval from a member of the Farm Factory team. Farm FactoryLimited reserve the right to refuse and reschedule. Farm FactoryLimited reserves the right to cancel bookings at any time with or without prior notice or explanations. Any booking that is cancelled by Farm FactoryLimited would not be chargeable to the artist/band. Payment: Payment can be made by either cash or cheque with a cheque guarantee card or by credit / debit card – all major cards accepted. It is the responsibility of the band/artist to cover the cost of each session in full either in advance or on the day of rehearsal or recording session. Late payment will lead to an additional fee, and refusal to pay may lead to prosecution. Bands/Artists are responsible to pay in full for the time slots in which they have booked their recording or rehearsal session for. Sessions can be extended or shortened if room is available but is subject to agreement by a Farm Factory studios member of staff. No refunds or reduction in payment would be eligible if rehearsals or recording sessions are shortened. Extended sessions would be subject to full payment of the normal hourly rates for every hour over your allocated time slot.
Early Load-Ins: Farm Factory Limited staff endeavour to open up a minimum 5 minutes before the first booking of the day. If you arrive early and there are already rehearsals in progress / the facility is already open, you will be permitted to load in early. This is subject to your room being clear / available and is at the discretion of the studio manager on duty.
Load-Outs: In some cases, especially during peak times, it will be necessary for you to vacate your room by the time your booking is due to finish. The room may be required for another booking that is due to start when your booking ends. For example, if you have booked until 9pm, you need to be clear and loaded out of the room by 9pm to allow the next booking access to the room. Please allow enough time to break down and load out.
Cancellations: 48 hours' notice is required for the cancellation of a session without charge, Block bookings within 72 hours; this includes weekends and bank holidays. If a session is cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice (or 72 hours for a block booking), the full cost of the session will be charged. Allowances for cancellations due to extreme circumstances are made at the prerogative of Farm Factory studios management.
Equipment: All rehearsal rooms are provided with a PA, Microphones and Mic Stands. Only backline equipment booked in advance can be guaranteed to be available. Any equipment located in your rehearsal room is available for use by you should you choose to use it. If you require a certain piece of equipment that is NOT listed in your rehearsal room on our website, please advise a member of staff in advance of your booking, and if available a member of staff will organize this equipment for your rehearsal slot.
Breakages and damages to studio equipment: Any damage caused to studio equipment due to misuse and abuse will be charged to the band/individual. Refusal to pay for breakages will lead to exclusion and prosecution. If an item of equipment is damaged or missing at the start of your session please report it to the rehearsal technician immediately.
Personal items/lost property: Please make sure that you do not leave personal items unattended and ensure that you take all of your belongings with you when you leave. Farm FactoryLimited is not responsible for any items that are lost or damaged on the premises.
Smoking: Smoking is NOT permitted anywhere inside the studio complex. If you leave the premises to smoke, please ensure that you are a safe distance from the studio and that your cigarette stubs are disposed of appropriately within the grounds of Farm Factory Studios.
Drugs: The studio operates a zero tolerance policy on drugs. If you are suspected of or found to be in possession of ANY CLASS of drugs on the premises, you will be asked to leave and reported to the police.
Food/Drink: You are permitted to bring your own food and drink into your rehearsal room; however, this must not be placed on any of the equipment under any circumstances. Any damage caused to studio equipment due to spillages and negligence with food and drink will be charged as per our damages policy above. Please help us to keep the rehearsal rooms tidy by placing any rubbish in the bin provided in the reception area.
Rubbish / Broken Drumsticks: Broken drumsticks are a hazard to other room users and studio equipment. If you break a drumstick, please make sure that you put it in the bin before you leave.
